Level 02 — Leader

You can be good at what you do and still find that your environment is not giving you what you need. Leader is about understanding why that happens — and what to do about it.

CORE Leader gives you the tools to assess whether your professional environment is genuinely capable of supporting your growth — and if it is not, to understand that clearly enough to make a deliberate decision about what comes next. Not a reaction. A considered move.

What This Covers

Four practical things Leader certifies you to do.

A lot of professionals reach a point where they know something is not working but they cannot name it. Leader gives that feeling a framework. These are the four things it develops — each one practical and applicable from the point you complete it.

01
Know whether your environment is actually supporting you
It is easy to assume that if your career is not progressing, you are the variable. Sometimes that is true. But often the environment is structurally limited — built in a way that cannot return the full value of the people inside it. Leader teaches you how to tell the difference, so you stop second-guessing yourself and start assessing the situation accurately.
02
Understand the ceiling your current role has set on you
Every environment has a ceiling — a point beyond which it will not develop you or pay you more, regardless of what you do. Leader gives you the framework to identify where that ceiling is in your current role and whether you have hit it. That is not a failure. It is just useful information to have.
03
Know when to leave — and leave on your terms
Most people leave jobs because they got frustrated, got an offer, or got pushed. Leader develops something different — the ability to assess your environment clearly, decide whether things are likely to improve, and if not, plan a move before the situation makes the decision for you. Leaving well is a skill. This is how you build it.
04
Move toward work where what you bring is actually wanted
Once you know what you carry and you have an honest read on where you are, the next step is straightforward: find environments that actually need what you have. Not every environment will. Leader gives you the methodology to identify which ones will — and to build the professional case for being in them.
Who This Is For

Professionals who have completed Foundation and want the full diagnostic picture.

Leader is for professionals who have completed Foundation and want to take an honest look at where they are. It is particularly useful if you have a sense that your current environment is not giving you what it should — but you want to assess that clearly rather than act on a feeling.

It is also relevant to leaders who are responsible for other people's environments. If you manage a team or run an organisation, Leader gives you the same diagnostic tools applied to what your people experience working for you.

The Assessment

Two stages. Foundation certification required before registration.

Leader certification follows the same two-stage structure as Foundation — a knowledge exam and a practical submission. Two formats are available: self-study at your own pace, or live webinar with structured online sessions and a facilitator. Both routes cover the same content and award the same certification.

CORE Foundation certification is required before registering for Leader. If you have not yet completed Foundation, register for Foundation here.
Stage 1 — Knowledge Assessment
A 40-question multiple-choice exam covering the Environment Framework, the Overstay Condition, Effective Maximum Capacity, the three Professional Orientation Phases, and the diagnostic methodology for environmental assessment. The pass mark is 70%. Three attempts permitted. Completed online through your candidate dashboard.
Stage 2 — Practical Assessment
A written submission demonstrating environmental diagnostic capability. You are asked to apply the Environment Framework to your current or most recent professional context — identifying environment type, assessing capacity, and producing a structured account of your professional orientation and what it indicates about your next professional decision.
What Comes Next

Leader completes the individual pathway.

Foundation and Leader together constitute the full individual CORE certification. With both, you have the internal clarity to know what you carry and the external clarity to know where it can be fully received and developed. The organisational equivalent — CORE Employer — is available separately for leaders and professionals responsible for the environments others operate within.

Also available
CORE Employer — Level 03
The organisational route. Develops the capability to hire for capabilities, design environments with sufficient capacity, and build conditions where full professional expression is possible. Available independently — no individual certification required.
